The 2026 interior design trends are out and wow are they all over the place. Have you looked yet? Every outlet has an opinion on what's hot and what's not. Confusing, right? Overall most of the 2026 interior design trends focus on blending comfort, sustainability with bold aesthetics. From lived in interiors (this does not mean your worn out saggy furniture is chic) to wood kitchens (these are not the cherry cabinets from the 90s) to textured and layered living (laundry draped over chairs is not what they are talking about), there's a trend for everyone.
If you are a trend follower and want your home to be that 2026 home then stop reading and start spending to achieve that "in" look. Now if you are like me and are looking for minor changes and upgrades to your home, I will show you below how to incorporate the most versatile trend into your existing decor and style.

2026 Trend: Warm Earth Tones
One of the hottest trends for 2026 is warm earth tones. Colors like terracotta, ochre, deep greens, and soft browns create a calming atmosphere that connects your home to nature. How to achieve this trend?
#1 Paint! By far the easiest, most impactful and if you are a DIYer, economical. If you are looking to update a room in your home, I pulled together some perfect choices from BenjaminMoore.

#2 Textiles! Swap out throw pillows , add in cozy throws, replace an entry rug or small area rug. Go one step further and reupholster dining room chairs, accent chairs, an ottoman or bench. I'm loving this fabric from Schumacher for pillows or a footstool.

#3 Decor! Add wood, brass, and stone pieces to shelves, entry tables and console tables. My favorite go to places for this type of decor are are Anthropolige , H&M Home and West Elm.

Updating your home by focusing on natural colors and incorporating styles and textures to create warm and inviting spaces is the trend to embrace in 2026. It doesn't have to be a drastic overnight change. Start small and introduce one or two new elements, like throw pillows and an area rug or focus on an area in your home. Over time, build on these changes to transform your home into that stylish, warm and inviting space.
