Living Room Turned Game Room

Do you have that room in your house that no one goes into? Our "living room" has always been that room because we spend all of our time in the family room that opens up to our kitchen. I never spent the time decorating the living room either and instead just put our left over furniture pieces in it because I didn't know what I wanted to do with the room. Our family is casual so the idea of a formal room was never going to an option. As our kids continue to get older (weep weep) my hubby and I wanted to create a room that we would actually use as a family. And that is how the idea of making it into a game room came about.

I ditched the rug and got rid of all the furniture (accept two accents chairs). I was debating if I should paint the whole room but decided to paint an accent wall. I went with Benjamin Moore Newburyport Blue because its a classic navy that combines well with white and gray.

I found someone to custom build a bar for the room and had them use a dark walnut stain on the top with a white stain for the body of the bar. We mounted a tv, added two stools that I found at HomeGoods, and our rug came from Amazon. Our wall lighting I purchased at Lowes. We found our dart board at Seasonal Specialty Stores, and our shuffleboard table came from Wayfair. I am so happy with the way everything came together and we have already logged in lots of hours in this room! See my before and after!
